kippreport -- serious or sarcastic?

I did not subscribe to the kippreport.com's newsletter, but I am receiving it anyway. I suppose it is more acceptable to spam people in this part of the world than it is in the west.

To be honest, I don't terribly mind it. However, I have been noticing that they have a strange mix of sarcasm and seriousness. It's sometimes refreshing, though I am not sure how well it would go down with the easily offended culture here. Take this for instance: UAE govt acts to stop locals emigrating. Hilarious stuff! A bit harsh, but gets to the point.

I don't know, but it sure made me laugh.

Hi there,

Completely random question but perhaps you may be able to help.

Are you or do you know of any business men or women / entrepreneurs in Dubai?

I am doing a term paper for NYU (due next Weds) on “Entrepreneurship in Dubai” and I am looking for both possible and negative feedback. I have some questions prepared if you know of anyone that has knowledge of Dubai’s “business world”. You can contact me directly at ght70@hotmail.com.

Thank you so much for your time.

You mean someone other than me? Sorry, most of my friends do run their own businesses, but I'm afraid I'm the only one who started from scratch. They all had established family businesses to get them started.

Kindly advise if you can find me a very serious investor in Shipping Business. The work is already there but needs some re-organization and finance.

It is both beneficial and a succesful project.

hahaha! It's funny, thought there is truth - i.e. almost all locals are highly discouraged from taking on foregin citizenships or even resident cards, like that of a GC.

A true story: a highly qualified free thinking top Emi surgeon, who actually moved to work/live in EU, cause he couldn't deal with the shit at home. A top Sheikh on visit to Sweeden came across this man, had a positive discussion and encouraged him to move back home.
